Working on Monday at the Corner Bakery Cafe

Working on Monday at the Corner Bakery Cafe

J got up at 4:30a this morning to go to work. I got up at the same time and was planning to work from his place but then changed my mind when I found this place close by. I walked a half mile to get to Corner Bakery and Cafe. It’s a great little spot, a little like Panera, where I’ve been able to sip Chai Lattes and hook up to free internet for the day. It’s pretty happening with people in and out. I chose a little lounge spot with two chairs and a small sofa arranged, and  have been left alone to do my thing. I’ll probably be here all week, El...
Sunday Eats

Sunday Eats

We rounded out our Sunday at a few places closer to ‘home’ – Steve O’s, Common Ground Beer & Wine Bar, and then Cincinnati Bar & Grill. All were good. Steve O’s was light, clean and fun. I really loved the atmosphere here. We didn’t eat but the food looked amazing. I think we will stop back in during happy hour one night this week for both food and drinks.       Common Ground was dark but a cool little spot too. They had light up bar menus!     Cincinnati Bar and Grill had a retro feel to it. We ate here and the food was good. Our waitress was quirky, cute and ran her ass...

The signs said it would give us views of three states and two nations – obviously Mexico and I think the two states would be Arizona & New Mexico. I am afraid of heights but the ride was not that bad. The views were...
crave :: kitchen & bar

crave :: kitchen & bar

Late breakfast at crave kitchen & bar. Quaint little place. I had a Breakfast BTS (BLT with a twist – bacon, folded egg, spinach instead of lettuce, plus siracha). J ordered a Monte Cristo (ham, turkey and swiss on french...
Twin Peaks, Ode Brewery & Brass Monkey

Twin Peaks, Ode Brewery & Brass Monkey

Our third day full day together consisted of eating and drinking as usual. It was our first Ohio State game of the 2015 season together too! The Bucks beat the team up north by a pretty wide margin. We went to Twin Peaks, a chain restaurant, but I’d never been to it before. It’s a lot like Hooters only classier but the girls wear less clothes. Imagine that. The food tasted really fresh and was great. After that we explored some more then went to Ode Brewery to try a flight. Lastly we landed at Brass Monkey before heading back to his...
