Summertime Downtime

Summertime Downtime

M left for USSSA Softball Nationals with her dad on Monday and J has been out of town for work the last few days which has given me a lot of downtime. On the one hand it’s nice, but on the other I’m feeling a need for more connection to actual humans instead of just the dogs. Tomorrow I’m attending the Lancaster Festival ArtWalk with our friends Kevin & Allison. In the meantime I’ve had lots of time to work, read, write and reflect. This has been the view from my “home office” this summer. I’ve had the opportunity to get back to my walking routine – 3 to 7 miles a day. This was the beauty I witnessed this morning. Unfinished Living

Unfinished Living

Insulation & drywall next, plus adding wood burner as we simultaneously move on to house building! YAY! A peek at the inside … our unfinished garage/apartment. Suitable living accommodations for now that  will eventually turn into our secondary gathering place for friends and...
Our Bountiful Garden

Our Bountiful Garden

So many fruits & veggies … too much to eat! Squash, zucchini, cucumber, jalapeños, onions, green beans (plus peaches from my awesome friend Alli). Chopped & froze 8 bags of squash & zucchini tonight after eating stir fry & zucchini pizza a few times this week. Lots more coming on, plus tomatoes, peppers, cabbage, potatoes, corn & fresh herbs. We’ll preserve a lot and still have too much. Who needs...
Getting Back on Track

Getting Back on Track

It’s been a quiet morning on the 19. I had coffee, read a devotional, did yoga and then took a LONG walk into and around town, and back out. I also put lots of things back into perspective and I’m excited for the coming months now. I wrote more about it...
Simple Life

Simple Life

I love life. I love the simple life that the 19 provides. Being home with J, M and the dogs – doing nothing – is my favorite way to spend my time. I love all that the 19 will become. Just pics of life...
